PYBA Meeting Minutes

In attendance: Erin Braden, Joe Nompleggi, Lauren Ducey, Amy Zajac, Melanie Drewnowski, Allison Swiatlowski, Aaron, McKee, Ashley Cowher, Heather Brioulette, Val Rodrigues

Treasurer's report was reviewed with all in attendance.

Registration

54 registrations so far

Only 4 volunteers for coaches, still need coaches for every age group

Instructional

Registration is open. 

Practices start in January- probably T/Th at OMP. Likely 2 weeks of practices then progress to games.

Val already has coaches. Need to reach out to Danica regarding gym time needed

Suburban

Tryouts have ended. There is enough kids for 5/6 girls, 5/6 boys and possibly a 7/8 boys team

Practices will start in November

Brandon attended a meeting for the suburban teams, will update at next meeting

Likely fees will be approximately $1,100 (includes refs) per league. This does not include uniforms and gym time. Looking at about $240 per player, $220 if reusing jerseys. Will confirm costs at future meeting.

Discussion about suburban/rec crossover. There is a meeting 10/11 for Quabbin Valley and may have rule changes. More discussion is needed after registration closes regarding how and when kids will crossover and will be determined on an individual basis. Bylaws will be updated once finalized.

Sponsorships

Some sponsorships are coming in. Erin will update sheet and confirm/order banners with Joe

TreeHouse has donated a basket. Discussed possible raffle or gift options

Insurance

Need a quote from Stolar

Equipment

Will need some new basektballs, electric ball pumps (2), replacement mats for Converse, cases of water. Repairs will be limited since town has voted to sell Converse Middle School. 

Gym Time

With the sale of Converse we will need to find a new home. 

Mel will reach out to Pathfinder regarding gym time 

Permit to be filed for entire season for gym use

Merchandise

Store is open online. We had a very small profit last season.

We will preorder a lot for in-person sales

Other ideas- cinch bags, decals (could also be end of season gifts)

Clinics/Open Gyms

Will need volunteers to run weekly open gym times

Plan for Saturdays: grades 3-6 boys. Sundays: grades 3-6 girls
