Meeting Minutes 

8/20/24 at 7pm 

Tailgate Tavern

Present: Erin, Heather, Joe, Amy, Ashley, Jessica, Michelle, Allison, Melanie, Bill

Gym: We were recently informed Converse Gym is no longer available for our use. Other locations to explore are PHS, OMP, Pathfinder. 

Need to reach out to Monson- Joe

Scantic Valley Y- Jessica

Ludlow Boys and Girls Club- Erin B

St Thomas- Erin V, Tony B

We are hopeful PHS can work with us again this year to decrease fees.

If we are unable to find gyms, may need to consider combining with another town.

Board Positions: Scheduler, Sponsorships, and Secretary position to be open. President position to be open soon

Tournament: On hold until season has been solidified

Registration: Costs will likely increase due to new need for renting gyms for practices and games. 

Discussed Rec vs Suburban only- will determine interest level first with tryouts.

Joe will draw up budget to determine costs for next meeting. 

We can set up tables at OMP open house(9/19), Chamber of Commerce festival at Pathfinder 9/30, Trunk or Treat, Library community room. 

We can place signs at Fields, ask OMP/PHS to send out flyers

Sponsorships:  Last year we raised $2,675 from sponsorships and additional monies from Superbowl squares and restaurant night with raffle. 

This year we have been awarded 501c3 status

Allison will schedule meeting with town to see if they can help financially. All members welcome to attend. Date TBD.

Ideas for fundraising: Restaurant night (7 Railroads, Steaming Tender ideas)

Ashley will compile list- text her to add any events

Talked about attending Town Council Meeting to express need for financial help

Suburban: Tryouts will be in October

Brandon attends meetings to report fees
