PYBA Board Meeting

12/19/22 6:30PM-7:30PM

Present - Joe Nompleggi, Erin Braden, Brandon Pronovost, Mel Drewnowski, Kara Noonan Pear, Allison Swiatlowski, Ashley Cowher

OMP Christmas Vacation - School is closed so we'll have to squeeze in practices. There are 4 teams practicing over there. Gym time will be available at 5pm any day of the week except the 30th 530-630.

Treasurer - Allison still needs access. Everything needs to be signed over. 

Instructional Update - One weeknight and one weekend day. All coaches are all set. Overlaps a bit with pub club on Saturdays. Next year we'll collaborate with them for dates. 

Picture Day -  January 7th. It's been posted on doors and in Converse Gym. It will  be the first day for Instructional so it was suggested coaches do a meet and greet before the date. 

Uniforms -  All uniforms have been ordered and being distributed to coaches.

Equipment - Sign needs fixed. Joe reached out to the town but hasn't had a response yet. Last week DPW needed to salt after a storm. Joe will reach out as a reminder. We should call if there's no school to make sure lot is cleared. Many of the basketballs are not holding air and some have disappeared.

Registrations Update - Theres a few more registrants that need to pay. We will determine if anyone needs scholarship.

Coaches Update - Coaches shirts. Ready to distribute. Tag & bag them and we can help distribute them.

Schedule Update - Recreational schedule will be released in the next day or two.

Merchandise - 17 orders already. Ashley has been setting up a table at practices and games. Encourage people to share with teams. 

Financials - Insurance is not paid for yet. Waiting on sponsorship payments and registrations. We are over budget on equipment this year. Equipment was inventoried this year so we'll know what we're missing. A lot of equipment walked last year. 

Facilities - Mel emailed facilities director at Palmer High to see if we can get gym time. Ashley reached out to Belchertown Church on the common whose rental fee is $15/hr. We will also reach out to Camp Rahmah for next season to determine if we can get some time. Ramah was about $50/hr. Pathfinder was $35/hr. Palmer high was $25 on weekdays, more on weekends. 

Sponsorship - Last year we had 11 sponsors. This year we have 10, 5 have paid. All are repeat sponsors. At the end of the season thank you letters will be sent.

Board Members - Joe is planning to start thinking about moving on at some point. Kara is still looking for a replacement for sponsorships. Will start to advertise board positions.
